Bio

I was born and raised in Bend, Oregon. In 1970 I left Bend for Bozeman, Montana to study geology. Since then I have lived and worked in North Dakota, Kentucky, and Kansas. I moved to Lawrence in 1986 and worked for several years as an groundwater geologist. In 1993, I started teaching high school in the Lawrence area.

I began painting in the late 1970’s when I took watercolor classes in Bismarck, North Dakota. I continued to paint off and on until the mid 1990’s when I started devoting most of my time to painting.
